First, the needle and nozzle are pressed tightly to seal, while the adhesive fills the entire cavity under pressure. Then, when the voltage applied to the piezoelectric stack changes, the piezoelectric stack deforms, and the swing arm moves due to spring preload, creating a gap between the originally tightly pressed needle and nozzle. At the same time, the adhesive, under pressure, fills the gap created by the needle's movement.

Next, when the voltage on the piezoelectric stack changes again, the piezoelectric stack deforms once more, and the swing arm quickly presses the needle, causing it to return rapidly. During this return, the needle forcefully ejects the glue in the gap through the nozzle, completing one jetting action, and restores the nozzle's sealed state, preparing for the next jet.
